Electric Fired Teapot with Red Streaks

This teapot was glazed with a copper red glaze with the addition of some silicon carbide to give localized reduction, which you can see in the red and blue streaks. It was fired to cone 8 in an electric kiln. It has a built-in strainer, but a few of the holes became clogged with glaze. It pours well regardless.The interior glaze is the same green as the exterior.
